Thai steel demand to rebound 13% on year.
Jakarta, Indonesia, June 28, 2018 – Thailand's apparent steel consumption is expected to once again begin tracking upwards this year to grow by a sizzling 13.2% on year to about 18.8 million tonnes amid the country's accelerating economic growth and construction-sector recovery, Wirote Rotewatanachai, President of Iron & Steel Institute of Thailand, said at the 2018 SEAISI Conference and Exhibition on June 26 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
