Formosa to fire up second furnace at Vietnam plant.
Vietnam, May 18, 2018 – Vietnam’s Formosa Ha Tinh has fired its second blast furnace and is possibly lining up plans for a third blast furnace, market sources in Vietnam told Metal Bulletin on May 18.
The firing of the second blast furnace will bring Formosa Ha Tinh’s total production capacity of carbon steel to 7 million tonnes once both its blast furnaces are running at full capacity..
